Shots used for the film were mostly: Wide shots, medium shots and close ups.
My final is just a short video about my horse and I over the last five years. I got the idea from something I wrote about him when it was our five year anniversary on Facebook. I decided to take some of the lines from it and changed them a bit and turn it into a small video. I used old and new footage of us. I used some pictures. The pictures I used were from the day I bought him and the day that we put the sign up saying I owned him. Then I used five pictures, for every years that I owned him.
Here is the script: November 4, 2010 was the best day of my life. On that day the horse of my dreams became mine.We have had our good days. But I’m lucky enough to call you my boy. These past five years have been the best years of my life. For Five years you’ve been my rock through the good times and the bad. And for that, I can’t thank you enough. Here’s to another amazing five years, Armani.
And here is the original post that I wrote that gave me the idea: Five years ago today was the best day of my life. Five years ago the horse of my dreams became mine. Five years does not seem like a long time but to put that in perspective, I graduated high school, went to community college, graduated from there and now I am at a four year university. I finally figured out my major. I have had many ups and many downs. Yet, you have been the one constant thing in my life. I don’t know how or if I would have gotten through all of it without you. You are the greatest thing in my life. You have been since we met. I am lucky enough to call you my boy. My everything. You’ve saved my ass more than a few times. You put up with my BS. You make me laugh. You make me smile. You cheer me up when I am in a bad mood. You have an attitude. You are lazy. You are a pain in the ass sometimes but to be honest I wouldn’t have it any other way. You’re my perfect boy and I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you. I love you so much. Happy five year anniversary Armani!
For my documentary I am going to do Horseback riding. The title of my documentary is Why I Ride. I plan on interviewing a few of my friends from the barn. My friends Stacie, Toni, and Nicole. I plan on asking them me to tell me their name, their horses name, the discipline of riding that they do and what it is, ask them what they do in the discipline and why they choose it, how long they have been riding, and why they ride. Some B-Roll footage I plan on getting is maybe some videos of people at my barn, some videos of all of my friends riding, maybe some videos of them tacking their horses and untacking, and maybe some videos from a horse show I am doing.
The documentary I decided to watch was called Unlocking Sherlock. It was a documentary about one of my favorite TV shows BBC Sherlock. I actually really enjoyed the documentary.
Sherlock both the TV show and the stories/short stories have always been an obsession of mine. The documentary talked about the characters in the show. They had members of the cast and chew talking about the TV show.
One of the things that I think worked for the documentary is the fact that the cast and crew were talking in it. The audience could see how much everyone really cares for the show. The creators of the show, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, talked about how much they love the original stories.
Another thing that I think worked was the fact that they used different Sherlock Holmes stories from the past. It shows how the stories have stayed relevant over time and how they changed over time.
One thing I did not like is how much of the show they gave away during the documentary. For someone who has seen all the episodes I didn’t mind, but for someone who has never seen Sherlock they gave away one of the biggest cliff hangers during the documentary.
I think it would have been better if it was a bit longer and if they didn’t give away the cliffhanger.
The documentary revealed aspect of the show that the audience may not have known. Some ideas that the creators took from other Sherlock Holmes creations. They talked and revealed some about the main characters and two of the most popular villains.
The documentary that I decided to watch was Grizzly Man. The film was by Werner Herzog. The documentary was about the man Timothy Treadwell. Timothy had spent thirteen summers in Alaska in Katmai National Park and Preserve. Timothy was obsessed with Grizzly bears and believed that over time they learned to trust him. Until October 5, 2003 when he and his girlfriend,Amie Huguenard were killed and eaten by a bear. The film was very interesting to watch. It was interesting to see how Timothy acted and how he thought. I also really enjoyed the way that Werner Herzog told the story. I liked the way that he used some of the footage that Timothy used. I felt like really made me understand how Timothy really was. Which made it easier to like him. I feel like if Werner only told us about him and interviewed people who knew him it would be harder to like him. I would have thought that maybe he was crazy. Which he was, in my opinion, but you could understand why he was like that.I also enjoyed how Herzog showed that Timothy really cared about the animals and that he wanted to protect them at all cost. Yet, at the same time he showed how that was also a negative.
