Gasland is a film is a film about a man whose land is wanted for fracking. This man is offered a large sum of money from companies who what to dig below the surface. Instead of taking the money, the main character, Josh Fox decided to do his own research on his land. Throughout the film, the narrative arc shows that Josh was not able to get in touch with anyone from gas companies to interview. Later we discover that after Josh does his own research and interviews his neighbors, that their wells are contaminated. The part of this documentary that impacted me the most was when they found out that they could set their water on fire.
For my documentary I was thinking about filming the life of a type one diabetic who is extremely athletic and doesn’t let his disease slow him down. I want to show the extra precautions that have to be taken to make sure he can control his blood sugar as exercise has a major effect on it.
